Notes:The top scene of the painting shows Rama and Laksmana with Jatayu shooting arrows at Rawana. On the bottom left Laksmana has been hit by Rawana’s arrow and is healed by Wibisana with a herb collected by Hanoman, the white monkey. On the bottom right Rama uses Indra’s arrow to shoot Rawana in his chariot. Tabing are roughly-square cloths most often hung over the wooden backboards of offering platforms.
