Lot Description:An English Gilt Metal Mounted Scarlet Tortoiseshell Cased Bracket Clock*
Signed John Taylor, London, circa 1780. The quarter striking triple fusee verge escapement on eight bells, with an enamelled Roman numeral dial and subsidiary calendar and silent/strike dials within a bright-cut brass surround, the arched rectangular case applied with foliate cast gilt metal mounts beneath a domed pagoda top with an urn finial, (some discolouration to tortoiseshell in places), 45.5cm high. -
