  • Notes:
The Jaguar Mk 2 saloon is one of the most recognisable and enduring of all Jaguar designs. It is also one of the most useable and practical classic cars available for today's motoring conditions. The Mk 2 which was first launched in 1959, whilst not entirely dissimilar to its immediate predecessor, provided a modern and updated and stylish car for the 'swinging sixties'. It came with either a 2.4 litre, 3.4 litre or most desirably in 3.8 litre engine versions. Dunlop disc brakes were standard after being developed on the track with the famous racing 'C' and 'D' Types. Notoriously beloved of both cops and robbers the Mk 2 was fast and comfortable and continued to be offered by the Jaguar company until 1968. This 1965 Old English White Jaguar Mk 2 with sumptuous red leather upholstery is a genuine 3.8 litre car with manual gearbox and overdrive. It is the most desirable version of the Mk 2 to be built and as such was the personal property of renowned Jaguar author and marque specialist Paul Skilleter. In wonderful mechanical condition with an extensive history file, the engine has been rebuilt by VSE, known worldwide as the specialists for Jaguar engines, based in Wales in the UK. This is an excellent all round example of a Mk 2 with very few faults. Highly desirable and in great condition throughout.
