    A taxidermy Alexandrine parakeet
    distinctive bright green colouring to its head and body, red highlights to the wings and neck, the long tail feathers with dominant yellow colouring, red beak. Mounted on branched section on oval black lacquered base. Length of bird 370. Named after Alexander the Great who is credited with exporting numerous specimens from the Punjab into various European and Mediterranean countries where they were considered prized possessions of the nobles and royalty.
