    A collection of Second World War letters and a photograph depicting New Zealand soldiers marching on Queens Street, Auckland
    Collection includes four handwritten letters addressed to Mr B R Edmond of Wellington, from his son Don who is on active service. Don writes affectionately and eagerly discusses news from home. Three letters are housed in their original envelopes. Some wear and losses. Also included is an image (210mm x 155mm) depicting New Zealand soldiers marching on Queens Street, Auckland. Inscription to verso reads, 'Dear Mum, I am sending these photos down to you, I haven't time to write a letter, but we are leaving today, Sunday, and we will be sailing sometime tomorrow. I will write you a letter at the first port of call so au revoir for the present and keep your chin up. Your loving son, Jim.' Also with photographers stamp to verso. Wear and creasing.
