    English, circa 1840 With wide duck egg blue borders ad gilt Comprising: 23 plates 23cm, four serving plates 27cm and a pierced pedestal serving bowl 19cm high, pattern number 3395
  • Provenance:
    Whitesides family Hobart.
  • Notes:
    James Whitesides who traded as Whitesides and Co arrived in Tasmania from Ireland in 1832. The firm was awarded a gold medal at the Great Exhibition for furniture manufacturers. As well as manufacturing furniture, they imported goods for sale and supplied furniture to Government House, Hobart.
