  "THE BRIDGE GIRL' Kathleen. M. Butler (1891-1972)
  Miss Butler's invitation to 'The Turning of the First Sod on the Railway Line in connection with the construction of the Bridge...' Saturday 28th July, 1923, also tickets to the Banquet, Enclosure & Platform + Several photographs of Miss Butler including her wedding photograph 1927, one signed by Kathleen Butler. Ephemera from Kathleen M. Butler's library, as J.J.C.Bradfield's secretary she was on a numerous occasions acknowledged as being involved in developing the tender specifications, she acted as chief publicist for the bridgeís construction and was generally the spokesperson when Bradfield was away, she was held in high regard. Kathleen Butler married Maurice Hagarty in 1927, and as was expected at the time, she left her position as Bradfield's Confidential Secretary
