Description:THEODORE BRUCE AUCTIONS' INTRODUCTION:
Mr John Whittle SC. was a notable collector of rare and unusual books, the books were always in very good condition and often with a significant provenance. Most books will have his name written in pencil, the date & place of purchase.
His collection will be disposed of over several auctions. This offering Part I includes Ornithology, Antarctica, Australian History, Australian Politics, Sydney Harbour Bridge documents & Federation items. Part II to be offered on the 29th October includes Military & Naval History, Wellington, Napoleon, US History, Biography & Books about Books.
ABOUT THIS AUCTION:
This is a timed online format auction, meaning that bidders can participate in the auction via computer only. Bidding for the first lot closing at 2pm, with a 1 minute delay between subsequent lots.
Please be aware that it is possible to bid on Theodore Bruce's sales through two websites, which attract different fees. If you bid through Theodore Bruce's site, there is no additional fee to bid online, however, if you bid through Invaluable's website, there is an additional 3% fee (on top of the buyer's premium) which is charged by Invaluable.
