in the manner of Jean Henri Riesener, the two train movement striking on bell, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, signed 'Girbelin a Paris', the drum case surmounted by putti playing with floral garlands amidst clouds, above a pedestal with sun mask, foliate and floral mounts, the trunk door with a glazed panel and a neoclassical mount, on a concave-sided plinth with toupie feet, with key and pendulum
