    Compared with a water pot of same format and decoration, see Peter Wain, Awaiting Spring: Qianjiang Art on Chinese Porcelain, London, 1988, p.54, no. 72
  • Notes:
    Liang Kentang, an artist specialised in the qianjiang palette, was active in the early to mid Guangxu period. Most survived pieces of his are dated from 1877 to 1887, such as the current lot.
