    An important Royal Worcester porcelain plaque by George Mosley, 1931
    depicting a lion and crouching lioness on a craggy mountainside overlooking a sublime valley, signed G. Mosley lower left
    20 x 25.5cm, frame 38.5 x 43.5cm
    Condition: This plaque is in very good condition throughout. The book, 'Royal Worcester porcelain, from 1862 to the present day' by Henry Sandon, 1973, refers to this decorator with the spelling George Mosley.
  • Notes:
    This assured study of the lion pair is a rare departure for George Mosley who is best know as a painter of fruit and birds.
