  Early to mid 19th C buckles worn at the Sultan's court of Surakarta, Java, Indonesia. Iron with gold and 'suasa' inlay. Typical entwined snake motif. Four with diamond set eyes, one set with rubies and turquoise. In various conditions, some losses and repairs.
