    [Cook] Newton's New And Improved Terrestrial Globe
    Newton & son, London: undated (circa 1830). Terrestrial pocket globe, diameter of 7.5 cm (3 inches). Coloured engraved gores inlaid down over a plaster base, the overall shellac varnish crazed and a few small chips present. A larger abrasion measuring to approx. 15 mm, located in the western pacific. Housed in original wooden turned case (lower case only). Worn with partial casing rim incomplete. Unrestored and in original condition. Globe shows the three voyages of Captain Cook.
