  A Royal Doulton gilt urn vase and cover by Joseph Birbeck Snr, 1901-1922 period
  elaborately jewelled and patterned with a high dome cover and pierced finial, with vegetal scroll handles and decorated with two puce cartouches featuring dramatic clifftop castle and river scenes, signed J. Birbeck Snr to base and green backstamp

• Notes:
  Condition: This item is in very good condition throughout with no evidence of damage, cracks, glaze/gilding loss or professional repair. The tooled and raised gilding is in very good condition. There is evidence of some rubbing or possibly deliberate absence of gilding to the flat borders surrounding the landscape cartouches (flat borders outside the beading). There is a hint of roughness to the internal lid rim.
