Notes:Stevo’s passion for collecting antiques was evident at an early age and it wasn’t long before he and a mate had a stall at Bermondsey Markets in London. He often spoke of those times with fondness and we are sure this led to his life-long curiosity for all things old. Stevo settled in Melbourne in the early 1970’s, where he, along with his wife Pam, enjoyed many, many hours of visiting antique shops and auctions in the hope of finding that little gem. His main love was William Ricketts pottery, and he was forever hopeful of seeking out a fine piece. Along the way we met Marvin Hurnall, who became a good friend. This introduction to Marvin lead Stevo on to collecting a broad range of Australian Pottery with their captivating glazes. It was a journey from those humble days in London to the keen and enthusiastic collector of Australian art. The Stephens family hope you find a piece to compliment your own collection. Sadly, John passed away on 10th March 2020. Pam Stephens
