  • Notes:
    According to the accompanying documentation, the white geological formation in the top left of the composition depicts Yalga [Yarlka], "Yarlka, this white mountain, this my spirit place. My mother, old Dinah, she found white porcupine la swag la Yarlka. That porcupine [echidna] was me. That white stone from that hill, they break him up for spear. Good spear, that one."1. The formation is also labelled Glass Mountain, which is, in fact, Glass Hill, located to the West of the Ord River in Purnululu (the Bungle Bungles). Nytbudiah (or Nyutburria) indicated in the top right is Queenie's Mother's Country. 1.
