  Gus & Elizabeth Wangenhein (see previous lot) bought the Green Park Hotel in 1881, a year before Gus death, Elizabeth redeveloped the hotel and opened in 1893. The hotel had many licensees until Elizabeth's death in 1925, her son Joseph inherited the hotel and by 1930 had lost the freehold to Tooth and Company. The documents dating from 1875 to its sale in 1933. Includes A Conveyance of land on the corner of Victoria & Liverpool Streets, Sydney dated 1875 between Stewart Mowle to Abraham Chapman + A 1879 Lease Mr Phillip Ronan to Henry Thompson + 1881 Supplemental Abstract of Title of Philip Ronan + 1895 Lease Elizabeth Wangenheim to Henry Buckingham + Two Agreement for lease with Tooth & Co, 1924 & 1925 + Two survey documents with plan of site 1929 & 1933 + Packet of documents concerning the sale in 1933 for twenty thousand pounds. Documents both paper & vellum.
