    Delightful Japanese Meiji Period Satsuma Vase, (1868-1912), by Hozan
    of baluster form, leading to a short circular neck and slightly flaring lip, beautifully decorated with two large polychrome enamel reserves containing robed figures at leisure in outdoor settings, one with blossoming branches and pine trees before a receding rocky outcrop, the other depicting a brook with wildflowers and reeds, both reserves flanked by geometric gilt pattern work and set between decorative borders on a cobalt blue ground, makers stamp to base, Bonhams and Goodman label to base, height 30cm
