  • Notes:
The first new black coral bed found in centuries was discovered in deep waters off Lahaina, Maui in 1958. It is Hawaii's state gemstone. Slow to grow, when polished, the black coral has a high lustre. It is lightweight and so is perfect for large, bold pieces of jewellery.
