Lot Description:John Lamb Lyon (1835–1916), Three Applications to Register A Design, 1887
'Imitation Cane Design Nos 2, 3 & 4', each document signed by John Lamb Lyon, written in ink with illustration of the design & signed by Registrar of Copyrights Johnson Hicks. John Lyon was a stained-glass painter and art decorator, he moved to Sydney in 1873 from Melbourne and set up in business as Lyon, Cottier & Co. He lived at "Joylen" in Birchgrove Balmain, over the years Lyon received many awards for his distinctive stained-glass and he worked with prominent architects of the day. One application torn & frayed at edges
