Notes:Peter Luling was a wood-engraver & linocut artist of American origin who worked mostly in England he showed at the famous First Exhibition of British Linocuts at the Redfern Gallery in 1929 & later that year his work was shown in the Tenth Annual Exhibition of the Society of Wood-Engravers. His work was reproduced in the Studio in 1933. His full name Theodore Dunham Peter Luling, he was 1902 in New York City travelling to Britain & thence to Oxford where he married the author Sylvia Thompson in 1926 & henceforth was based in England he died in Reigate 25 November 1978 https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/term/BIOG36428
