Notes:"This work is likely a study of one of the stable hands on our property just outside of Nowra. The morning trackwork sessions were a regular source of inspiration and appeal to Bob. Both as a participant and as a subject matter. There was something particularly inspiring about the inner resolve and youthfulness of the stable workers and this charcoal was done at the time when we were living on the property. It is a typical Dickerson study for what would probably become a subject in a major painting at a later date," Jenny Dickerson.
