  "Both these works The professional punter (which Bob & I jokingly called After the Last as well) and the bookmaker were two works that originally I left in Bob's studio - either to remind him not to gamble too much, or if he did….at least win. These are a source of great amusement to me. The professional punter in particular because despite his dishevelled appearance carries no airs or graces. He is there purely for the punt. The bookmaker on the other hand is spivvy. Part consumed by appearance & possibly the trappings of wealth and winnings. They are two works that I have loved owning as a pair and I will be interested to see where they end up. Hopefully with someone who will enjoy them as much as I have. Bob gave me these in 1986 and they have made me smile every day," Jenny Dickerson.
