  Old Mick was one of the senior members of the Western Desert Aboriginal art movement. Old Mick's Papunya works werer the first to be collected by the NGA. They were featured in the Asia Society's Dreamings: Art of Aboriginal Australia Exhibition which toured North America in 1988-89.
