    A set of twelve rice paper paintings Qing dynasty, late 19th century
    each brightly painted with figures in courtly scenes, six depicting various male dignitaries each with two attendants and six depicting different female court figures each attended by two servants, framed
    each 32 x 20cm
  • Notes:
    CONDITION: Generally some foxing to the upper areas, some fading along the bottom edge, and some small repairs and tears. One has and area missing and now painted in along the lower right and a tear extending towards the left edge, and a vertical tear to the figure on the right side. Another has a vertical tear from the base of the throne to the bottom edge and a short vertical tear from the top edge. Another has some short horizontal tears above the lower edge
