Lot Description:1880 Gd Class Well Tank Locomotive, road number ‘163’
(122x35x50mm) built by Beyer, Peacock, black livery, 0-4-4 wheel configuration, with six rolling stock carriages including guard van and loaded wagons of hay and wheat. (total size with carriages 580x35x50mm). (7 items) -
Notes:[Locomotive was sold to Glenelg Railway in 1881 becoming their No ‘9’ locomotive, acquired by SAR in 1899 when they purchased the Glenelg & Grange Lines from private operators, rebranding the engine Gd ‘163’.]
