    wheel-thrown cylindrical tea bowl created by subjecting an unglazed vessel to 4-5 days in a wood-fired kiln, with the ash deposits melting.

  • Notes:
    Bizen is one of the most prized traditional pottery styles in Japan. Moritoki 1930started pottery at the age of 30 and after mastering Bizen techniques moved to Kyoto where he developed his skills in Mino yaki, Seto, Oribe abd Shino techniques and styles.
