    A hand-built tea bowl with a generous waist and slightly inturned mouth, and an overall black raku glaze.

    Raku firing entails pulling the bowl red hot from the kiln and plunging it into water. Raku chawans are one of the most highly regarded types of tea bowls in Japan. Condition: Chip on the base
