Lot Description:One Thousand Years of British Monarchy Sterling Silver Mint Edition
50 sterling silver ingots issued as a limited edition by John Pinches Medallists Limited & its associated companies. The ingots are enclosed in a wooden box & a plaque on it reads: 1000 years of British Monarchy Sterling Silver Mint Edition. Fifty kings & queens of England from 973 to 1973 are each represented by an ingot. A book with an historical commentary by Sir Arthur Bryant published as a companion to the set of sterling silver ingots is enclosed. Also enclosed is a certificate stating: This is to certify original ownership by Mr P A Lordon of a Sterling Silver Mint Edition. Signed by T V Stokes Director Stokes (Australasia Limited). -
