Lot Description:4 19th C Australian Political Letters and Pamphlets
11th January, 1858 Clark Irving's Address to the Electors of Northumberland & Hunter. Printed form sent as an entire letter with manuscript on one page. Postmarks for Windsor & Sydney; 2 manuscript letters on printed Free Trade Association letterheads 408, Pitt Street, Sydney, 5 Dec 1864; Political pamphlets, letters etc 1912 to 1943 all concerned with a Mr W.E.J. Weller who during this period was, it seems, a Nationalist candidate, a United Country Party candidate, a Labor supporter & a member of the Australian Anti-German league. One letter to Mr Weller 15 August, 1919 is signed by C.E.W. Bean; & Voting Paper. Election for the North Riding of Cumberland. Polling Day, Friday, December 11, 1857. 1 Vote for Thomas Whistler Smith to be a member of the Legisative Assembly of New South Wales. -
