blue wool, embroidered ‘NSWCA’ shield logo on front. Attractively framed. -
Provenance:With letter from the present vendor advising that the cap was given to him at the age of 12 by John Gleeson who had been a friend of his father. The cap is also accompanied by a card signed by Gleeson and given at the same time, 1969

Notes:[Gleeson played in 29 Tests for Australia between 1967 and 1972; he was first selected for the NSW Team in 1966. He was best known for his unique bowling style, which according to Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland “bamboozled batsmen” and could “regularly dumbfound the best batsmen in any team”.]
