• Notes:
  The Second Test match at Lords, June 1961, saw some changes in the Australian team. “Benno” (Benaud) was replaced as captain by Neil Harvey; Graham McKenzie appeared in his first Test; May was back in the English team as was Lock; Cowdrey had just made 2 centuries for Kent and everyone was looking forward to the match “May the best team win”. Australia won the Test Match by 5 wickets. McKenzie took one wicket in the first innings and five in the second. Davidson took five in the first innings and two in the second.
