Lot Description:Two Japanese Woodblock Prints, Beauties after their Bath, One by Utagawa Toyokuni III [1786-1865] & Torii Kiyonaga[1752-1815]
Signed Gototei Kunisada ga, with seal mark of the publisher, probably Nishimuraya Yohachi.
39 x 26 cm each
This artist signature used until 1844, means "Pavilion of the Fith Ferry" and refers to the ferry boat service owned by Kunisada's family; the other signed Kiyonaga ga, framed & glazed. -
