Lot Description:A Gilt Bronze Figure of Green Tara, Tibet, 14th/15th Century
seated in "lalitasana" on a double lotus base with beaded edges, the right foot resting on a lotus flower rising from the base, the right hand lowered in "varadamudra" and the left raised in "vitarkamudra", sprays of "uptala" lotus stems rising from the elbows, wearing a "dhoti" tied with a sash, and further adorned with beaded jewellery, the face with lowered gaze and benevolent smile, framed by a pair of pendulous earlobes with ornate earrings and a five-leaf tiara enclosing a high chignon, box
