  An collection of photographs - silver gelatin prints - from the estate of Hardwicke Knight, the English photographer who moved to New Zealand in 1957
  Mostly late 19th Century and from New Zealand photographic studios, among which: Clifford & Son Dunedin (N.Z.), W.R. Frost Dunedin (N.Z.), A. Martin Wanganui (N.Z.), Otto Neuendorf 342 Brunwick St., Fitzroy, Whyter 37 Jamaica St., Glasgow, H.J. Gill Hyde St., Dunedin (N.Z.), Morris 175, George St, Dunedin (N.Z.), Bishop Osborne 76 Murray St., Hobart, Wrigglesworth & Binns Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, etc. The 47 images are accompanied by a papier-mache box, with romantic 18th century European scenes affixed. The box is done up to resemble a book, and dates c.1890. Also, a mounted daguerrotype and an empty Union case. The size of the box is 19 x 14.5 x 6.5cm. (50 items)
