This present Thursday, February 25, 1790, will be presented a comedy, called The Recruiting Officer.......” A cast list is included. 25 x 17cm (laid down on acid free paper) Written by George Farquhar in 1706, The Recruiting Officer was the first play performed in Australia, in June 1789 in Sydney.
