the serpentine top above a flower and ribbon carved frieze with pierced and scrolled corner brackets, raised on square tapering linen fold legs

Notes:Inscribed under the felt baize in pencil "My Own Work / Thomas Chippendale St. Martin's Lane / 1752" and further inscribed with a sketch of two chairs, one with a typical Chippendale back, the other with emphasis on the claw and ball foot.
