A Sioux squaw... will long be remembered with gratitude by many of the Minnesota Captives, for her kindness to them while among the Sioux in 1862.' and photographers credit 'Charles & Zimmerman. Photographer, St. Paul, Minn.', red mark obscuring part of inscription; and six other CDVs of unidentified Native Americans, three with maker's mark to recto: two by 'J. Penrose, Photo' Studio, Winnipeg, Manitoba'; one by 'S. Duffin, Photo, Garry Street, Winnipeg.' (7)
