    leather wrapped upper half with cut-out viewing slits, threaded silver lined top and silver lined slip-on beaker to base with hallmarks to base and engraved with initials 'CFC' to cup; with related research material including a copy of a photograph of Cabot, a biography and copies of his army files; and another flask (a lot)

  • Notes:
    Charles Cabot joined as 1st Lt. Co. 'F' 20th Mass. Infantry on 26 July, 1861, aged 24. He fought at battles of Ball's Bluff, Fair Oaks and Glendale. He was killed at the battle of Fredericksburg on 11 December, 1862.
