Lot Description:Chinese late Qing (1880-1912) carved ivory tusk
with finely detailed carving depicting numerous figures performing a multitude of tasks set amongst blossoming trees, mounted on a carved hardwood stand, tusk length 106cm approx, height as photographed 45cm approx. Condition: several repairs, some missing pieces. -
Provenance:Acquired by the vendor's parents (who were a traders) in India between 1920 and 1960 when they emigrated to Australia.
