A Tall Chinese Red Lacquer Four Panel Screen, used as an Internal Wall, Qing Dynasty 18th/19th century
the top of each panel carved with open geometric lattice design, the central panel carved with stylized dragons, the bottom panel carved in high relief with auspicious symbolsNote: Screens like this were used with a paper backing on the top half, that would keep the breeze out & let the light through.
