    A Belle Epoque Period Bangle Set With Diamonds, Probably by Renowned French Jewellers VEVER
    18ct yellow gold with silver doublet to the upper section of wavy design set with a continuous line of round old cut diamonds, each wave trough set with a larger diamond as a finial to a short bar. Hinged design with safety chain. With original fitted box from VEVER, 19 Rue de la Paix, Paris. Founded in 1821 by Pierre Vever, the firm passed from father to son. In 1889 Pierre's grandsons Paul and Henri won a Grand Prix at the Paris International Exposition. In 1870, following the death of the famous Imperial Jeweller Gustave Baugrand, that business was bought by Ernest Vever. The Marret & Beaugrand names also appearing on the fitted box.
