Lot Description:Two Maori pre-European stone adzes and a rare form sinker (mahe)
One narrow adze of finely formed greywacke, polished finish. Length 165, Y14067, another smaller of Ohana argillite, type 2/B with rough finished sides and pen inscription ‘Found.......’. Length 75, registered Y16683, and a small stone mahe (sinker) of unusual flattened tapered form. Length 100, registered Y16687. -
