  Large and important collection of photographs and ephemera relating to the Australian Camel Corps
  from the personal collection of Trooper Bert Storey, incl. photos of Bert and newspaper clippings of his exploits incl. escaping from the Turks in Gaza, after escaping he was shot at and escaped with his life but 5 bullet holes in his hat, also included is a photograph of the ship that left Sydney on May 27th 1916, the R.M.S. Morea with a very large number of troop signatures and numbers, some illegible and some missing but extensive, also includes Bert Storey's dog tags and personal effects incl. the camera which took the large number of photos included, approx. 8 photograph albums, most with snapshots of his time during the war and nearly all photos titled & captioned by hand, incl. letters incl. one home to his mother telling the story of the escape exploits, souvenir pieces incl. leaves from the burning bush at Mt Sinai, collected by Bert, nearly all photos original, couple of reprints and a few are photos and items related to his family post WWI, unique & compre
