Original roan-backed cloth (slightly flecked). Spine extra gilt. With 13 full-page colour lithographic plates of which 2 are folding, 68 full-page steel-engravings., numerous text-illusts., and adverts.
• Notes:
  Among the additional recipes found in this edition are: Recipes for Kangaroo Tails, Parrot Pie, and Wallaby Roast. Because the imports of preserved Australian foods were making significant inroads into the English cuisine, the editors of Mrs. Beeton were anxious that recipes using these products were included.
