    William IV sterling silver soup ladle
    hallmarked for London 1834, maker's mark for John Harris, note: engraved to handle with monogram 'HHB - A tribute of gratitude from his Benson parishoners A.D. 1835', note: this was given to Henry Hodgkinson Bobart (1807-54), then vicar of St Helen's church, Benson, Oxfordshire, UK, he held this post from 1834-35, when he left for Australia arriving in Sydney Cove 2nd Nov, 1835 on the ship 'Lotus' with his then wife Frances, after her death he remarried in 1837 to Elizabeth Mary Marsden and was minister of St John's church Parramatta for 18 years until his death in 1854, aged 47, 33cm long, weighs 265 grams
