  A Mongolian gilt copper 'Meru Mandala', 19th century
  the mandala of circular form depicts at it's edge the cosmic ocean quartered by sun discs, rectangles, triangles and moons which encompass auspicious symbols which in turn surround the central tiered square of Mt. Meru which raises up at it's centre a crystal circle.
