Lot Description:A pair of rare late 19thC Indian Mughal ivory carved Paduka slippers
traditional scrolling form with fine carved border bands of rosettes and tendril design, five repeating leaf design outer border, the raised rims carved with various animals including elephants and rhinoceros, a turned finial to the front of each, some damage. Length 265. -
Provenance:Ex. an artist's estate who was resident in India c.1950-1970.
