• Notes:
  The mss letter (incomplete) from "Edward" to his wife in England, concerns his lack of success in selling his stock of firearms in Victoria and the likely need for him to go to California to achieve a better outcome. He makes some interesting observations about life and commercial activity in the Colony. (A typed transcription accompanies the lot.]
