  A Rare Volume by Lewis Carroll
  CARROLL, Lewis; "ALICE'S ADVENTURES UNDER GROUND" [London: Macmillan, 1886. 1st edition.] Hardcover. Small 8vo, full red cloth stamped in gilt. The first edition of the facsimile of Carroll's original manuscript with his own drawings, produced in an initial run of 5000 copies. All edges gilt, slightly cocked, spine a bit sun faded; a nice copy without bookplates or signatures. Interior hinges loose and page 31/32 with small tear at base. Also, an early undated edition of "The Life of Charles Dickens" by John Foster. (2 volumes).
